A trip to the historic Castle McCulloch Gold Mill is a must for all those interested in NC Gold Panning! Tours of McCulloch Gold Mill are sponsored by the McCulloch Foundation and are fun for families, students, seniors, and businesses! The Gold and Gem panning activities are exciting, educational, and an overall great group adventure! Plan to spend your field trips, birthday parties, or other kids activities at this unique and historic NC Gold Panning treasure.
Open to the public Sundays 11am - 5PM
- Visit the McCulloch Mineral and Technology Museum and see minerals and gems from around the world and some from outer space.
- Relax and take advantage of our clean and shaded picnic facilities, available for your family or group.
- We often offer tours and brief history of the Gold Mill when scheduled events permit. Call for weekend status (336) 887-2206
- Find Emeralds, Rubies, Crystals, Amethyst. Admission is $4.00, buckets starting at $10.00.
Entrance is located on Old Kivett Loop just PAST the main entrance of Castle McCulloch on the left coming from High Point.

- Experience North Carolina's fascinating gold history through a tour of the remarkable McCulloch Gold Mill which is set in a lush hardwood forest
- Embark on an excursion to the Jamestown Rock Quarry(when available) and see the massive piles of rock, mondo trucks and a gigantic hole in the ground. It's Amazing!
- Visit the McCulloch Mineral and Technology Museum and see minerals and gems from around the world and some from outer space.
- Enjoy videos about historic gold processing and the amazing world of precious and semi precious gems and minerals.
- Pan for Gold and Gems with scheduled tour groups Mondays through Thursdays (by reservation only)!
- Relax and take advantage of our clean and shaded picnic facilities, available for your family or group.
